This is a photo of the owner of Memorable Event Ent (Cynnamon) painted by two of her face & body painters, Tess & Senaida, while she was pregnant. She wanted a “mother-earth” style design with a whale, and a hummingbird which would go nicely in her “As Above, So Below” Nursery! This went along with a photo shoot, which turned out so great, she hung the photos on her wall in the nursery to see every day! The baby grew up knowing that she was growing in that beautiful painted belly!

At Memorable Event Entertainment, our Pregnant Belly Painting Experience, also called Maternity Belly Paining, was created as a beautiful way to pause during this chapter and celebrate the connection between mother and baby through art, intention and photography.

My Own Pregnant Belly Painting
This experience is especially meaningful to me because I've experienced it myself.
When I was pregnant, two of my artists Senaida and Tess painted a collaboration on my belly with an enormous Earth, whale and a hummingbird.
It wasn't simply beautiful artwork. Each element carried meaning for me and my “As Above & So Below” Nursury theme, and seeing this incredible painting covering the belly where my baby was growing made the experience feel even more special.
And that's part of what inspired me to offer pregnant belly painting as more than just another entertainment service, and more of a ceremony.
I wanted other mothers to have an opportunity to experience that same feeling of seeing this temporary canvas—their pregnant body—turned into something beautiful and meaningful.
Setting Intentions for Your Baby
One of my favorite parts of our Pregnant Belly Painting Experience is taking a little time to set intentions for the baby who is coming.
Pregnancy can move incredibly fast. There are appointments, preparations, baby showers, nursery plans and endless lists of things to do before the baby arrives.
This experience gives you permission to slow down for a moment.
As your belly is being painted, you can reflect on the little person you're preparing to welcome into the world.
What do you wish for them?
What qualities do you hope they carry through life?
What kind of world do you hope they experience?
Maybe your intentions are for courage, kindness, creativity, freedom, joy, connection, adventure or simply a life surrounded by love.
